Meteor showers

Meteor showers

They are light traces caused by the entry into the atmosphere of small solid particles, which are observed every year at quite specific time intervals.

They are because the Earth, rotating along its orbit, periodically finds residues of diverse origin: planetary, cometary, etc.

Well-determined meteor showers are about twenty.
