The accretion It is the aggregation of matter to a body. For example, the accretion of mass by a star is the addition of mass to the star from interstellar matter or a companion.

The accretion theory was proposed by Russian geophysicist Otto Schmidl in 1944. He explains that planets were formed from the accretion of planetesimals that, in turn, were formed by accretion of ice.

In the case of the earth, after stratifying a nucleus, a mantle and a crust by the accretion process, it was massively bombarded by meteorites and asteroid remains. This process generated immense inner heat that melted the cosmic dust that, according to geologists, caused the volcanoes to erupt.
