Rocks in Death Valley. Spectacular land

Rocks in Death Valley. Spectacular land

One of the most unusual places on Earth is undoubtedly Death Valley, California, USA. There is a dry lake called Racetrack Playa that is almost perfectly flat, with the only exception of some large stones, such as the one we see in the photograph.

Although the plain and texture of this great beach called Racetrack are fascinating, it is very strange scientifically speaking. This appearance is caused by dry, fluid and breaking mud after heavy rain.

Only recently, however, has a viable scientific hypothesis to explain how rocks of 300 kilos have ended up practically in the middle of such a large surface. Unfortunately, as often happens in science, a seemingly impossible problem ends up having a relatively mundane solution. It turns out that high winds after a rain can even move heavy rocks along this slippery lake.
